When to call an electrician

What this app covers

PlanMyPanel covers typical residential panels: apartments, houses and summer houses with a standard 1- or 3-phase supply. Within that scope the rule engine checks your design against the essential safety rules.

What it does not cover

  • Short-circuit and earth-loop impedance calculations.
  • Voltage drop on long cable runs (large plots, distant outbuildings).
  • Industrial equipment, three-phase motors, medical locations.
  • Country-specific amendments that go beyond the common HD 60364 rules.

When your answers put the project outside this scope, the app says so explicitly instead of guessing.

The non-negotiable part

Even a perfect design must be installed and verified by a licensed electrician: tightening torques, insulation tests and earthing measurements need professional tools and professional responsibility.

PlanMyPanel is a planning aid, not a substitute for a professional. Final assembly and connection must be reviewed and approved by a licensed electrician.

Built on the EU HD 60364 series and the CIS wiring regulations (PUE).
